As a RN care manager you truly hold a special role in each of your member’s lives. From being a listening ear…an advocate…a creative problem solver…the list goes on. Each member is unique and so are their needs. Being able to dive into a situation and keep a member as independent as possible/create a solution is a huge accomplishment. When a person asks me what a normal day in my role looks like I never know what to say. Each day brings a new adventure and is hardly ever the same. That is the excitement of my role. I love the unknown, the variety, and the constant learning opportunities. Working previously in multiple different nursing roles, I never could quite found my perfect niche. There always seemed to be something missing that I couldn’t quite figure out. When I joined Care Wisconsin [now My Choice Wisconsin] as a RN case manager, I finally found my calling. Being here for 3.5 years now, I am very thankful that I decided to take a risk and go out of my comfort zone to try a completely different role as a nurse.”
